Coaching if you have not had your 3 free introductory or coaching
sessions, or you would like additional coaching please contact the head
coach.
Membership the club year runs from September -August.
12-month club fees are £240.00
or we offer a 7-month full playing membership with 5 months retainer
for £154. Members on this tariff can, as retained members, can access the
club and play in the summer months but are required to pay £8.00 rink fee
Membership Card your card contains your membership number If you do
not have a membership card, please contact Membership Secretary
Access to the Club the door to the bowls club at the rear of the leisure
centre is coded, please ask for current code, or you can access through
main reception. There are toilet facilities on the left of the entrance.
Unfortunately, we do not have a bar or vending machines. Please feel free
to bring refreshments, but please remember no drinks on the green!
General Information can be found on our notice boards, keep an eye on
the mail pigeonholes for additional direct information.
Health and Safety, Wellbeing and Safeguarding please familiarise
yourself with our Code of Conduct, rules, policies and notices including
accident and emergency procedures. Please ensure you sign the
attendance book. Members contact information and emergency contacts
can be found in the lock box, on the side of the bowls cupboard
Bowls Office is located on the right as you enter the bowls hall.
Lockers your membership includes access to a locker. Please contact
Membership Secretary to secure a locker.
Club Shirts are required for playing any club or open competitions.
Subsidised price of shirt is £25.00 To purchase a shirt please contact
membership or general secretary. Paired with black shorts, trousers or
skirts as part of the club’s official kit. (Transition from grey to black over
the 26/27 club year for returning members).
Bowling Shoes must be worn on the green. No outdoor shoes. Bowling
shoes can be purchased from a wide range of outlets.
Bowls or woods can be borrowed from our members bowls cabinet
accessed via the key in the key lock (code on your membership card).
When ready to purchase your own bowls check out sites such as eBay or
Vinted for second hand or go to a professional retailer. Ask for advice and
try out before buying as new bowls are expensive and there are lots of
different makes, sizes and weights to choose from.
Getting to play please see the club website for full playing rules. There are
several ways to enjoy your bowls.
• Booking a rink for a self-organised game, please use the booking
diary on the website
• Roll Ups – check the notice board and rink diary for general roll ups.
Some of these are organised through a WhatsApp group or are just
turn up events, check notice board for details
• Leagues and Knockouts are a great way to enjoy some friendly
competition. Look out for our summer and winter competitions
